Does Luck Really Exists?

I took the picture above of the four leaf clover off a car in the parking lot for the building I have my law office in.

The four leaf clover made think about the concept of “luck” and the “Law of Attraction.”

You are considered “lucky” if you find a four leaf clover in nature because the odds of finding one are about 1 in 10,000. So a four leaf clover is something that is rare.

Odds provide “a measure of the likelihood of success a particular outcome.”

Dictionary.com defines “luck” as “a force of chance that seems to operate for good or bad in a person’s life, as in shaping circumstances, events, or opportunities.”

“Chance” is defined as “a possibility or probability of anything happening.”

A “force” as defined in physics is “something that changes a motion of an object.”

Wikipedia defines “luck” as “the phenomenon and belief that defines the experience of notably positive, negative, or improbable events.”

Wikipedia also states “Force can also be described intuitively as a push or a pull.”

The Roman philosopher Seneca who lived in the first century A.D. is given credit for saying:

“Luck is where opportunity meets preparation.”

Seneca

Does “luck” really exist?  Or is “luck” just a component of the Law of Attraction?

Everything in the world is composed of energy that is vibrating, oscillating and resonating, at various vibrational frequencies.

The Law of Attraction, simply stated is “Like-Attracts-Like.”  Whatever you send out as an energetic vibrational frequency is what you attract back into your life.  The Law of Attraction is always working on you and for you, whether your realize it or like it.

Do you think you are a lucky or an unlucky person?

“Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t – you’re right.”

Henry Ford

Although I do not like or agree with everything Henry Ford did or said as a person, this quote does apply to the concept of “luck.”

What actions can you take to prepare for “lucky” opportunities and become a “lucky” person in your own life?

  1. Declare yourself to be a “lucky” person.  Create declarations in your own words to proclaim to the Universe you are a “lucky” person. For example, “I declare I am _______________.  or “I declare I am always ‘lucky’ in my own life.”   If you consider yourself lucky, you will send out a positive vibration that is open and you will attract abundance and “good luck” back into your life. If you consider yourself to be unlucky, you will send out a negative vibration that is constrictive and you will attract lack and “bad luck” back into your life.  Look for in nature, or buy an actual four leaf clover, or print a picture of one to view and use as a daily reminder you are a “lucky” person.  Repeat your declarations daily looking at your for leaf clover.  Remember you have to take actions in the energetic realm (i.e., stating your declarations, etc.) and the physical realm (i.e., obtaining and viewing your four leaf clover, etc.) for you to actually be a “lucky” person based on the Law of Attraction.
  2. Visualize yourself to be a “lucky” person.  When you visualize what you desire on a regular basis, you start to energetically connect to probable “lucky” events and opportunities from the infinite number of possible energetic events that can occur in your life.  Visualize the outcome you desire based on positive emotions with all of your six senses.  What understanding does your first sense, your intuition give you about your desired lucky outcome?  What does your desired outcome, look like, feel like, smell like, sound like and taste like with your other five senses? Visualization helps you program your subconscious mind and your brain to send out energetic vibrations for “lucky” events you desire in your life.  Your subconscious mind operates via visual images, symbols and emotions.   Your subconscious mind doesn’t know or care what you are visualizing is not “real” and exists only in your “imagination” at the present moment.  Visualization helps your subconscious mind draw the “lucky” events you desire out of the energetic realm into the physical realm and into your conscious reality.  Visualize the lucky events you desire using your four leaf clover, a vision board, during meditation, etc., on a daily basis.
  3. Expect, acknowledge and express appreciation for “lucky” events that occur in your life.  Since you are a co-creator of your own life, you can “expect” to use the Law of Attraction effectively to be “lucky” person.  When you experience “lucky” events in your life, acknowledge and record them in an “appreciation” journal.  When you show appreciation you express a full conscious awareness and an ability to understand a worth, quality, or importance of something.  Many people use a “gratitude” journal instead of an “appreciation” journal.  However, the word “gratitude” includes a vibration of lack in part because you are giving thanks for something you did not previously have in your life, but you do have now.  I did another blog post and podcast on the difference between the words “appreciation and gratitude.”  When you record all the “lucky” events that occur in your life in an appreciation journal, you can go back and review all the positive things that have occurred in your life and confirm and re-affirm you are “lucky” person and continue to attract more “lucky” events into your life.

Declaring yourself and practicing to be a “lucky” person creates a positive impact in your life. I am a luck person, how about you?
