Moments – A Poem

A quiet private moment
When thoughts tumble and race,
our minds sort through the flurry
And put them all in place.
Some thoughts are fraught with worry,
And others filled with love,
Both curious and cautious
Some peaceful like a dove.
With logic and emotion
Delete, remove, choose all.
Our heart and mind do battle
Who gets to make the call
Logic or quick reacting
Accept you sort and stew,
Prioritizing feelings
Deciding what to do.
Yes life’s alive with choices
Some challenge or bring pain
While other glide and comfort
Like springtime’s gentle rain.
So try to choose your focus
Such options blue or grey.
A smile, sunglasses ready
Today’s a sunny day.
